The Body Shop´s Tea Tree Oil

One of the big problem of some girls are acne. So most of us, keep on trying different products hoping to have a better skin condition. But some of us are making mistakes on choosing the products that we are going to use. Let us not forget that every product has different type of ingredients and that´s what we should be aware of.

It has been years since Tea Tree Oil of The Body Shop started to be on trend. There were a lot of reviews regarding this product. But one thing that I like when I first searched it on the internet, that those are its ingredients. Tea tree oil are made of organic products. So there is no reason to be aftraid to us it.

Ingredients
Based on The Body Shop´s website, Tea Tree Oil is consisted of Aqua (Solvent/Diluent), Alcohol Denat. (Solvent/Diluent), PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil (Emulsifier), Polysorbate 20 (Emulsifier), Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil (Natural Additive), Limonene (Natural Additive), t-Butyl Alcohol (Denaturant), Calophyllum Inophyllum Seed Oil (Skin Conditioning Agent), Citral (Natural Additive), Leptospermum Petersonii Oil (Natural Additive), Denatonium Benzoate (Denaturant), Tocopherol (Antioxidant).

Price
  • 9,00€ / 10 ml
  • 13€ / 20 ml

You might think that it is expensive for its size but do not worry, you can use a bottle of 20ml of tea tree oil for more than 2 months depend on how many times you are going to use it every day.

How to apply

You can use the tea tree oil directly to your face. Just do not forget to wash your hands first. Put a 1 drop on your finger or back of your hand then put the oil where you have acne.

You can use it every morning and evening but if you are sensitive of its strange smell, you can just use it every evening when you are not going out.

Effectiveness
If you have pimple, you can use it overnight, it will dry very soon. I can say that the maximum effectiveness is three days.

Disadvantages
What I noticed, it is not recommendable for dry skin because tea tree oil has the ability to make your skin dryer that provokes pimple to come out. And even if it removed your pimple, it will not prevent other pimples to come out so it is really recommendable to have a seperate facial wash and scrub aside from just using tea tree oil for your pimples.
